Our customers expect the following innovations:

Homescreen redesign

Homescreen_1.5 (2).png

  • The home screen has been completely revised and now features so-called content bands.

  • The following content volumes are currently available:

    • Worth seeing today
    • Replay highlights
    • Soon
    • Last used
    • New in store
  • The personal recommendations are no longer available in this software version, but they will appear again on the home screen in another version in the future.

Improved organization and navigation

_0000_REC-1.1.4-Recordings---by-Genre-active.png

  • All recordings are now additionally divided into genre and subgenre. This means: You can now find a recording of the comedy “Hangover” both in the overview of all recordings and under Films > Comedy.

_0010_3_Staffel-aufkommen-Fokus-.png

  • In addition to individual and series recordings, season recordings are now also supported. This means: When recording a series, you can choose whether you only want to record the current season or all episodes of the series.
(Only possible if season information is provided to us by the broadcasters)

  • For a better overview, the recording page now lists the episodes broken down by season.
  • All notifications for recordings (“program”, “cancel”, “delete”, “archive”, etc.) have been standardized
  • All buttons (“Play”, “Record”, etc.) on the detail pages have been optimized, merged and described in a more understandable way.

Extended function of the Recent button

  • Long pressing the “Recent” button now allows you to select the desired program from a list of recently used content. Certain content (e.g. replay broadcasts) will only be displayed after a minimum playing time of 2 minutes.

… and also

  • Recently used search terms are now listed, making it easier to search again at a later date
  • Radio can now be started directly from standby using the radio button
  • Numerous improvements to increase stability

The new software is usually installed on the TV boxes within 48 hours. It has the number 1.30.17 / 0.91.117.237 (can be viewed under Settings > System information > Overview).

It would be good to have a link about this update that you could send to other TV 2.0 users via email who do not use the Swisscom Community.

Anyone can read here without being registered, so just send the link from the thread.

@Warren

Thank you for the tip, unfortunately the layout of the Community doesn’t look so good on the iPad Mini.

I know two users who only use the iPad. No problem for others with iMac or PC.

SC TV 1.0 also took several years to become what it is today.

Something has finally been done on the recordings, which was a broad customer request, and I’m extremely pleased that this suddenly happened in midsummer. I thought we would have to do without new features on TV until the next release.

Keep it up, Swisscom!!!

Hello dear Swisscom community

This week I will install Swisscom TV in my apartment for the first time (Vivo M with 2 TV boxes, fiber optic). A short time parallel to upc cablecom to be able to make a few more comparisons.

Now when I see the content of this update, my anticipation increases even more. I am looking forward to a company in which innovation, product development, support quality and customer appreciation are no foreign words.

Kind regards

Yay improvement in series management! Thank you.

Has anyone already tried improving the series recordings/the possibility of relay recordings?

That is the highlight for me.

And can you explain to me what this function can do:

Long pressing the “Recent” button now allows you to select the desired program from a list of recently used content. Certain content (e.g. replay broadcasts) will only be displayed after a minimum playing time of 2 minutes.

If I have to watch a replay program for 2 minutes so that I can select it with the Recent button, that doesn’t make sense to me. Then I watch it, i.e. I don’t have to select it again via Recent, or what does that mean?

Can someone help me out?

Thank you.

You are now starting to watch a documentary.
But there’s no time to finish watching it because you have an appointment.
In the meantime, the kids come and watch TV.

You come home later and want to continue watching the documentary in peace.
Until now you had to go to the guide or to the station and then look for the broadcast report.
Now you press the Recent button for a long time and a list of the 25 TV posts that were last viewed opens at the bottom of the TV picture. In this list you can then use the arrow keys to go left and right and play the post.

This saves you having to go through the guide and makes your selection faster

(And by the way, you can see whether the kids haven’t watched something they shouldn’t…*ggg)

Exactly, or the annoying problem in another thread where the remote control reacts too “quickly”. Then you accidentally find yourself on live TV again, etc., and have to laboriously look for the recording where you were just watching. Until now it was always possible to jump back there using the Recent key. This has now been expanded (luxury in my opinion, but just as Louis describes it, maybe someone can use it like that).

The thing with the replay is simply that you have to have watched at least 2 minutes in order for it to be included in this list.

I’m excited as hell! Although I still prefer downloading (OT+UT) and recently also Netflix for series, I think it’s great that customer needs are taken seriously and satisfied here at Swisscom. Thank you once again!

Yep, it works perfectly, the most blatant example of Bauer is looking for a single, x-thousand repeats of old seasons are broadcast every week, I have set it to only record season 11 (or whatever it is), and now I have peace and quiet Rest..
