At the same time there will be a subscription for 99.– on FTTH (even just Internet alone) - you’ve already looked there. The infinity itself was limited to 20 Mbit for 69.–, if we’re talking about the same thing (I don’t know whether that was adjusted. This product was taken off the sales list by Swisscom (only DSL Mini), so I can I can’t imagine anything else being adjusted.

Otherwise, take a look at Business Internet Light, they have fiber optic Internet products, which Bluewin is increasingly dismantling in favor of bundles.

Even if the change is positive - for those who can benefit from it, basically only the artificially added brake block is finally removed.

Because there is not a single fiber optic optic in the world (that is the small module where the fiber optic is plugged into the router) that sends and receives over a single fiber optic that is not symmetrical. Or to put it another way… if you have 1000/100 in the Vivo XL, you have always had a 1000/1000 Anschluss on the physical side, it is then only artificially slowed down in the upstream direction by the software. The cable itself has always been symmetrical because asymmetrical fiber optic cables do not exist and never have existed on a single fiber optic cable.

It’s nice that Swisscom has decided to adapt to the changing market and competitive situation and to abandon the protectionism of other products by removing upstream throttling.

Thank you for that, even though I’ve only had my subscription since April and actually had the “wrong” subscription in June because I had to choose XL because I was dependent on 100mbit upstream for professional reasons and from June onwards I’ll have a lot more than I really need.

You can easily switch to Vivo M with 100/100 mbit/s

Hello

What about fiber optic customers who don’t have a Vivo package?

(Thanks to symmetrical bandwidth, Swisscom fiber optic customers will upload and download their data at the same speed from June 8th)

I still have an old subscription, according to the invoice it is called:

“Combined offer consisting of telephony, Internet standard and Swisscom TV light”, for 74.35/month. (25.35 + 49.00)

It’s only intended for my internet backup, but it’s still languishing at 10/1…

Greeting

huuuiii, you have a nice exotic subscription there - I didn’t know that the “DSL standard” was once switched to fiber optic…..

Regardless, you will need to switch to a current Vivo subscription so that you can benefit from the current speeds. With Vivo XS you would have 10/10 up/down speed. It then costs 89.–/month. but you have all telephony in all Swiss networks included. And of course TV2.0 Basic with 30 hours of replay/recording and live pause and all the other benefits of TV2.0.

Important to know: when switching to a Vivo subscription you have IP telephony, i.e. the phone must be connected (directly or indirectly) to the router.

Hi

Thank you for the answer.

Nope, I won’t switch. My in-laws have a subscription and I only use the internet as a backup and the ability to watch ice hockey on demand. I don’t spend 15.00 CHF more for symmetrical speed because I already have a symmetrical line (1G) from another provider on fiber optic. To

There is a dish with 4 LNBs hanging in my hut, which I personally have more advantages over SCTV 2.0.

And I already have these services via fiber optic and so the phone is connected to the router…

Unfortunately, as an ice hockey fan, I am forced to have a subscription to Swisscom…

Greetings

Well, the change will take place by the end of 2017 at the latest…

Vivo Light would be another variant - for 69.–/month. On glass you would have at least 5Mbit/s upload - but only that much down…

All-IP (artificial word) it is…

….It’s actually clear with fiber optics….:smileysurprised:

Ummm.. what is being changed? Vivo Packet compulsory?

No, no Vivo package requirement.

Ok, that’s clear about AllIP - but Swisscom won’t continue to operate TV1.0 in parallel with TV2.0 forever. My gut tells me that with the end of TDM analog telephony +/- TV1.0 will also be switched off… sometime by 2017…

Hi

But you Swisscömmlers already know that Economyline, Multiline, ISDN BA and PRI NEW can be registered until the end of 2017?

(Sorry for going off topic…)

yes, it is known - and theoretically it can be switched off again on January 1st, 2018…

Afaik, the exact processes for this have not yet been fully defined…

Greetings, POGO 1104 (I’m not a Swisscomer - just a normal customer)

Hi

I’m making calls with a phone…:smileyhappy:… that’s connected to the router.

When I originally asked whether I could get symmetrical speed with an old subscription (no package), I mentioned that the router is connected with fiber optic.

And if I may digress again, I would prefer if the phone were connected to the LAN port of the router, that would be real ALL-IP! But you don’t give out the SIP data…

But I’ll find out…
