Internet box speed on the LAN

Salu

I have a 200 glass cable and the new equipment from Swisscom.

Now I have found that I can get around 200 Mbit/s but only internet, and only half that in the home network.

With the iMac I then saw that it “only” recognized a 100Base cable. The same with the MacBook. I then connected the MacBook directly to the router using the cable provided.

Idea why this may be?

If I change the cable on the MacBook to 1000Base, it doesn’t recognize the connection.

Do I have to adjust something somewhere?

Thanks

You cannot set anything for the individual switch ports. It could be that there is a defect.

If you have a device that is content with 100Mbit (e.g. printer, Rousseau Tel, TV or something like that…), you can connect it to the port - otherwise have the IB replaced
