I ordered a new iPhone 6 over a month ago - no problem
I received an SMS 2 days ago, informing me that my new phone was ready for collection from the Swisscom shop at Chavannes de Bogis - excellent!
I went to the shop later that morning and was told there were "delivery problems" but that I could expect the same afternoon or definitely the next day - bad news
Later that evening, I received an email informing my new iPhone was ready for collection - encouraging
I went again to the shop yesterday and was told there was still a problem with deliveries and no one knew when my phone would actually arrive - unacceptable service!
The staff at the shop informed that many customers were coming to ask for their new iPhones, and were getting very annoyed! - unacceptable
Since I was early at the shop, I was lucky. They had an iPhone 6 which the customer had not collected and the delivery had expired, so they were able to sell that one to me - acceptable service. The staff at the shop were very helpful and understanding. They are in a very difficult situation, and I was not angry with them, but with the Swisscom procedures which obviously were not working!
Advice: do not send out automated SMS messages and emails if the ordered equipment has not been delivered to the shop! Organise your distribution and delivery service better! No information is not good, but the WRONG information is totally useless, annoying and unacceptable.
