seems to be working miraculously again. By the way, it was definitely due to the mail hub and certainly not the client’s outgoing server.

Still positive that so many people took part so quickly.

So still nothing works for me.

    Message keeps coming:

"No messages could be sent or received for the Bluewin account. The host “pop.bluewin.ch” was not found. Check the server name.

    Server: ‘pop.bluewin.ch’"

Then I would wait, provided you don’t have a new client or PC and haven’t changed any passwords, or report the whole thing directly to 0800 800 800. I don’t know how hard the admins look here and report it themselves.

It seems that one of Bluewin’s login servers is down.

    Hello,

All I can do is send. Incoming mail server hasn’t been working all morning.

and reported? Sounds like a server problem - this morning the Kundencenter was down, that has now been fixed.

Have you ever accessed webmail directly? Are there any emails there?

I called Swisscom (Bluewin). They wouldn’t have any problems. She also checked my settings and I ran the repair program twice and no errors were found. It is therefore a problem with Windows Live Mail. There is no telephone support there, just the community. I’ll ask there today during the day, I don’t have time now. Webmail works, but not via Windows Live Mail. I was told that Kundencenter was down in the morning, but this only had to do with the customer data and nothing to do with the email.

Webmail works… Let’s take a look, if it doesn’t work by this evening, I’ll set up the Outlook account again. Outlook can be somewhat mysterious…

It’s strange it doesn’t work for me either and not for the first time. Inbox ok Outbox doesn’t work, but I have a Mac.

for some the entrance, for others the exit

Be sure to check whether port 587 (not 25) is on the outgoing server and smtpauth.bluewin.ch is entered as the outgoing server name

Swisscom has been cleaning up these for a year and has blocked port 25 on the router. But I would be surprised if that was exactly the case for some people today.

I’ve been feeling exactly the same since this morning!

It is only possible to receive emails via Bluewin webmail, cell phone or tablet. Not with the Compi (Windows, Thunderbird), despite checking the settings several times.

If you use Thunderbird as your mail client, forget about calling support on 0800800800. They can’t help!

How true, on the 0800 number. can’t you help! She claimed it was because of Windows Live Mail, but I could also call their paid mail service and maybe they could help me. Nothing worked until after 4 p.m., even though I had uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Live Mail. Then the message came: “host imap.bluewin.ch was not found”. And they want to claim it’s not because of bluewin??? Later it says: “We regret the inconvenience”.
