It’s strange it doesn’t work for me either and not for the first time. Inbox ok Outbox doesn’t work, but I have a Mac.

for some the entrance, for others the exit

Be sure to check whether port 587 (not 25) is on the outgoing server and smtpauth.bluewin.ch is entered as the outgoing server name

Swisscom has been cleaning up these for a year and has blocked port 25 on the router. But I would be surprised if that was exactly the case for some people today.

I’ve been feeling exactly the same since this morning!

It is only possible to receive emails via Bluewin webmail, cell phone or tablet. Not with the Compi (Windows, Thunderbird), despite checking the settings several times.

If you use Thunderbird as your mail client, forget about calling support on 0800800800. They can’t help!

How true, on the 0800 number. can’t you help! She claimed it was because of Windows Live Mail, but I could also call their paid mail service and maybe they could help me. Nothing worked until after 4 p.m., even though I had uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Live Mail. Then the message came: “host imap.bluewin.ch was not found”. And they want to claim it’s not because of bluewin??? Later it says: “We regret the inconvenience”.

seems to be working miraculously again. By the way, it was definitely due to the mail hub and certainly not the client’s outgoing server.

Still positive that so many people took part so quickly.

The last time the Bluemail function worked was November 25th. Today I turned the system back on and experienced the “blue miracle”. I can’t get in with Firefox anymore. I couldn’t write this message either. Both times I get the following message:

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

With IE 11 on Win 8.1 it’s no problem. Firefox has NOT received an update in the meantime. I was away for a few days on holiday. The problem MUST be on the provider’s side. Because I can open all other pages with Firefox - read these threads too - just not reply - see message above!
