Internetspeed

Hello everyone.

I own the DSL standard. I just did the speed test and achieved a value of 1100 kbit/s. The product assistant says up to a maximum of 3600 kbit/s.

Given these features, I could switch to DSL mini and therefore surf at almost the same speed, but with a saving of 15 Fr. per month.

Am I seeing this correctly? Or what do you think about these numbers?

Thank you very much

Hello kasta1

What do the connection values look like in the router?

According to the product assistant, is Swisscom TV possible?

No other downloads are running during the Speetest and the PC is connected to the router with a cable?

If your measurements are correct, you are absolutely right. Then you can save with a DSL mini, without major losses, with the internet speed available.

Hello kasta1,

In order to do a reliable speed test, you should consider the following:

1. Speed test with a LAN connection to the router

2. Start Windows in secure mode with network protocol

If you still get this bad value, you can contact us

Swisscom Hotline: call 0800 800 800. There you may be able to record a subscription change or a disruption ticket.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using the latest Swisscom router. With direct Anschluss from PC like LAN cable to router.

During the speed test I had no other programs running and it was started in safe mode.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply.

As Herby already answered, in my opinion everything is fine with the speed test.

Directly from PC like LAN to router, safe mode.

I will follow your advice and call the Swisscom hotline.

Thank you both.

It would be nice if you gave feedback here afterwards and then posted the “solved” post there.

I agree with Warren. Because then you could set this forum post to closed and make it a sticky post, as is quite common in other forums.:smileyhappy:
