Router and TV on different rooms

Hi,

DUe to the limitation of wall plugs i would like to know if it is possible to setup the rooter on one rooma dn send the signal to the tv wirellesly. If not any other options?

Yes. You need a wireless kit for that.

But wireless is always a game: will the signal quality be good?

what’s so special for that kit to cost 193CHF??? i cant use powerlines, i cant use other accesspoints (tried 3)….anyone know of something cheaper that does the same work?

thanks for the suggestion. It is still 125CHF…pretty expensive as try and would then directly buy the Swisscom kit.

That’s said, I noticed the tvbox can connect wirelessy to the internet box, and the test says even that the connection is working fine. But when running the tv, the connection falls.

Any idea?

Hey Stupore,

about the direct wireless connection: yeah, that stuff isn’t quite working just yet. Though Swisscom says that They’re on the verge of having it fixed, one doesn’t know when it will work; They don’t give You a set date… 😞

About the Swisscom appliances: Swisscom policy give You the right to return any device within 14 days after purchase (with the receipt). I suppose this could give You some playtime to find out whether ‘that fiddle plays the tune’ or not.
