At times the picture was haltingly slow and the sound was out of sync, but only for 2-3 seconds and then it adjusted again. Sometimes happens when switching on. Hopefully it will be fixed because the TV boxes are directly on the router.
Yesterday I watched a program on Repaly. After it was finished according to the guide you could choose the next show or go back to live. That should be abolished. I then had the problem that the box got stuck and I was able to press the buttens, but nothing happened. The image was frozen. The box was also very hot, although that seems to be normal since the second box also gets so hot. I then switched off the box and restarted it several times. Swisscom TV restarted briefly and then the picture remained dark. Then I did a reset and the box started again and in small font (Android) it said that a new firmware was being downloaded, installed, initialized, etc. That worked for a while, then I had to connect the remote control, which didn’t work. The trick with the blue button that was suggested didn’t help either. Then the system suggested that I switch it off completely again. Then the box started straight away and everything worked as before… The second box ran without any problems and then the same thing an hour later. I then simply turned it off for 10 minutes and then everything worked again. Apparently an update has been installed. When you first started it it was also on the TV, but not with this update. It seems that there are still a few problems to be solved.

I’ve noticed this problem several times now. Switching didn’t help for long. I still have to try restarting the box with the toggle switch. Hope this gets patched up. Perhaps the picture is faster than the sound via fiber optics
Maybe consider the HDMI cable as a suspect - sound and picture can often also be related to this cable
There is also a known disorder in SC that could be related to this. It would be good if you told support the type of television, error pattern and HDMI cable used.

Cable? And I thought digital was, um, digital. It works or it doesn’t work 🙂 All joking aside. If it was a wiring issue I would expect to have the problem all the time. In any case, I use the included HDMI cable on a Sony Bravia KDL-40W5800. If the problem occurs again, I will contact support.
Don’t underestimate the HDMI cable 😉 - A year ago I had snowfall for a week, sound and picture problems, reset, replugged, etc. Then I had the brilliant idea to sweep the HDMI cable and from that moment on I had no problems more with picture and sound and that until Easter Monday - until the death of SC Tv 1.0 at my home.
It was just a suggestion anyway - maybe it will do something

Hopefully you took a new HDMI cable for the TV 2.0.

Yes, of course, although I would bet THIS cable would also work reasonably well. This is despite the fact that the SC has this cable (not the gold one) replaced on most TV 1.0s, as it has often led to freezes or image disturbances). But thanks for the tip:smileyvery-happy:

Picture and sound are not synchronous.
Sometimes just for a minute (during a recording).
Live on Friday during the Tagesschau and Meteo, duration approx. 10 minutes.
I also have this problem about 2-3 times a week when watching live TV. The solution is, at least for me, very simple. Stop button and after a few seconds press Play (i.e. a “mini timeshift”). This causes the system to switch from multicast to unicast and be synchronous again.
Hello
So I don’t have a stop button on the remote control 😉
but a pause/play button.
And the behavior on the STB is such that when the Pause/Play button is pressed for the first time, the multicast stream is buffered locally on the STB. If the Pause/Play button is pressed again a little later, the STB internal memory will be played.
But if you rewind while watching LiveTV, you’ll go from multicast to unicast.

Thanks for the clarification. Well, the buffer on the STB won’t be very big either, after a 5-10 second break it will probably switch to unicast, right?
Instead of rewinding, is jumping back 10s enough to switch to unicast?
As soon as you press pause/play for the first time while watching liveTV, the multicast is saved internally on the STB.
And this works safely for 30 minutes. But I’m not entirely sure about the value, whether it’s 30 or more. With SwisscomTV 1.0 there was a maximum of 90 minutes. buffered.
The aim of this storage is to ensure that there is less unicast traffic.
Because if e.g. If you get a phone call and press pause and want to continue watching again after 10 minutes, then you can.
But the STB then plays this from the local buffer, which was filled via multicast.
If you zap on a channel and you rewind or skip, then you are automatically in replay or unicast.
Understood?
What I also see for myself is that I have a lipsync issue on Kabel 1 HD.
After zapping, it’s okay for a few seconds until the switch from unicast to multicast happens.
I was able to reproduce this a few times this morning.
