I am travelling in Russia. I can receive email on my iPhone via wifi but cannot send it.
I have disabled data roaming on my iPhone for cost reasons, but am using wifi connections for email, surfing, etc. My iPhone is setup to receive my bluewin email, and this works fine when in Switzerland, both when connected via wifi or on the mobile phone network. The same settings on my laptop work perfectly, both for sending and receiving email. It is only sending of email on the iPhone that doesn’t work.
I have changed the outgoing mail server settings on both my laptop and my iPhone to smtpauth.bluewin.ch and port 587. These are the same settings as my laptop.
Can you help?
