skywalkerluke Hi there What kind of Caller-ID technology is used in Switzerland? DTMF, FSK,...? Thanks skywalkerluke
NunoP Hello skywalkerluke, In Switzerland we use the FSK technology to send the Caller-ID during the 5 seconds between the first to the second tone. Kind regards,
Reg Hi Is that ETSI FSK? And do you mean between 1 and 2nd ringtone? I'm curious to know a bit more about how it works. Reg
Reg Sorry.. was wondering, does caller id work on an analog phone connected to the analog output of the swisscom box? The main line into house is ISDN. Or does that box interfere with the analog ability to display the caller id??
Tux0ne Hi Reg http://www.anacom.pt/streaming/en_30065901v010301p.pdf?categoryId=115679&contentId=201612&field=ATTACHED_FILE Chapter 6.1.1 If you have ISDN, NT1+2ab v5 is able to give the CLIP information to the analog ports.
Reg Thanks for that info. I have that model NT1+2a/b, but how do I know if it is version 5? It is several years old (10+?).. white box about 20 x 30 cm. Reg
Tux0ne There should be a sticker on the backside of the NT. http://www.swisscom.ch/fxi05/Bedienungsanleitungen/man_nt5_de_fr_it.pdf If you don't have v5 you may call Swisscom for a replacement.
