Give us feedback on the new iO smartphone app

Hello,

How can I change the name in the newly launched “iO” app from Swisscom?

I can change my profile photo - but not my last name.

Even after reinstalling the app, I am registered with the name I entered for the first time and cannot change it…

Any idea?

Press release at 10 a.m., maybe there will be a help page for that too…

Swisscom probably included the app too early in the Apple release process 😉

And how can I delete (clean up) the messages and calls on my iPhone? With Android it’s very easy - I press the message for a few seconds and the trash can appears. But that doesn’t work with apples. Who has advice?

Simply swipe the corresponding message to the left in the *Chronicle* with your finger!

No reason to become aggressive straight away.

The app is officially out and the website is available, so the developer also has support to provide.

It’s bad enough that there isn’t even an imprint on the iO website.

By the way, this is legally illegal ;o)

But back to the topic

My daughter has exactly the same problem.

When typing, you press the button too quickly and there’s a name that your school colleagues find really funny…

Reinstalling it doesn’t help because the name appears to be linked to the phone number.
As I see it, the name can only be corrected directly by the operator of the App DB.

What is the official process for changing a display name, which apparently is also an account name?

Have you ever read the *Terms of Use* under (My iO), they answer a lot of questions about what the use of this app requires or what needs to be taken into account.

There will definitely be more questions, I would wait until the *Apps* is officially presented by Swisscom, which should happen during the day.

Looks pretty nice.

But:

- Display does not switch off when using the phone on your ear

- Individual messages cannot be deleted

- Online status cannot be hidden

- Sounds cannot be turned off or changed (and are terrible)

• App crashes when creating contact (this could be due to iOS7)

Great, the app hasn’t even been officially introduced yet and yet it was already number 1 in the top apps in the App Store last night. Seems to be really working…

The approach is good, but the product is simply not finished yet. I tried inviting friends via the app via SMS. None of them received the text message. Not even after trying several times. And then I wanted to visit the website and the images wouldn’t even load properly. Let alone display the image correctly…

Sorry, but you’ll have to be pretty careful about that…

I accidentally misspelled my name when registering and would like to change that. Can someone tell me how? Deleting the app and reinstalling it doesn’t work; it takes over the data from the previous use.

I see some fatal mistakes that shouldn’t actually happen to Swisscom.

- You cannot turn off/change the sounds

- You cannot delete individual messages from the history

- You cannot hide your online status

- Display doesn’t switch off when making calls (not sure if this is an iOS7 and/or API problem)

With iOS 6 it does 🙂

Feedback in addition to the one already mentioned:

- Changing the name is not possible

- Group chats are missing
- It is not clear in the contacts who is OK and who is not

- Videos cannot be submitted

- Video calls are missing

- Design should be customizable

- Color assignment to individual contact is unclear

Please make the app work for the Motorola RAZRi (Android 4.1.2)

App changes screens uncontrollably every second and then crashes….
