The customer can choose whether the storage (including OS and data discs) is backed up by means of daily snapshots. If a customer has selected this option, snapshots can be restored within the retention time (=30 days). Swisscom can be commissioned with restoring a snapshot. The complete server data (OS and data disc) is restored to the status of the snapshot in question.
