Customers can also install the operating system themselves without a template. However, the customer is responsible for correct licensing of the operating system if it is not an MS Windows server version or Redhat Enterprise Linux server version.
Windows and Redhat are automatically licensed by the platform. The platform recognises such installations and the customer is billed for the licence costs. We recommend using the Swisscom templates for the Windows and Redhat servers.
